Stamps Lecturer Annica Cuppetelli Invited to Speak on Mentorship and Craft
This year, The Cranbrook Academy of Art is hosting the On Mentorship: Cranbrook Academy of Art Craft Symposium, which is centered on discussing the critical practices of modern-day artists and the future of mentorship. The event’s panelists include fibers artist and Stamps Lecturer, Annica Cuppetelli. Cuppetelli is one of the Cranbrook alumni that will share their varied experiences since graduating through concentrated individual lectures. Leading up to the symposium will be an exhibition, “We Live Here”, which will feature a comprehensive body of work from 24 Detroit-based alumni, including that of Cuppetelli on Friday, February 1st from 5 PM – 8 PM in Downtown Detroit.
The Cranbrook Academy of Art, Ceramics, Fiber, and Metals departments in collaboration with the Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Center for Collections and Research are hosting this symposium on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 from 10 AM – 5 PM to spotlight featuring alumni who have become successful professionals. The On Mentorship: Cranbrook Academy of Art Craft Symposium event will take place in deSalle Auditorium within the Cranbrook Art Museum. The artists invited will discuss the progress of arts education in their respective fields.
