Karen Henry joined Counseling and Psychological Services as the Embedded Psychologist in 2014. She has a passion for working with college students and enjoys working with students at Stamps and Taubman. She has specialty interests in concerns around family of origin, trauma, women's issues, anxiety and depression. She approaches therapy from a feminist and system lens. Prior to joining University of Michigan, she completed her internship at Grand Valley State University's Counseling Center and her post-doctoral fellowship at Eastern Michigan's Counseling and Psychological Services. She works to create wellness in her life by achieving as much balance as possible. She does this by recognizing her stress level and being active during her time outside of work. Specifically, she enjoys cycling in the summer, going for long walks, and spending time with family and friends.
