After exploring the country, getting her hands dirty designing and building some cool landscape installations, Weiss is back at the School of Art & Design as the Facilities Manager.
She is the point person for facilities issues in the Stamps School of Art & Design, the Faculty/Graduate Studios on Green Road and the Stamps Gallery downtown. In this capacity, she promotes safety, access, and public displays of art.
Weiss loves learning about how things work and new construction techniques.
The best parts of her job include collaborating with the studio coordinators, fostering community spaces, and problem solving with students and faculty about best ways to accomplish project proposals in our shared areas.
Weiss spends her free time in the outdoors, running and cycling, and doing volunteer landscape and design work for local non-profits. She enjoys books, movies and good food, as well as hanging out with her family and pets, and art - of course!
