This project is about having the uncomfortable conversations of naming and locating whiteness both in ourselves and the world around us. Through placing posters in public I have been inviting phone call conversations about the topic of white privilege. This poster utilizes complimentary colors in order to connect the discomfort of vibrating colors with the discomfort of conversations about race. The QR code directs viewers to an online archive of these audio recorded conversations. In hyper-noticing whiteness, which gains currency from going unnoticed, I am making an effort to work through biases of my own as well as with the people I am in dialogue with.
